Comments

Mobile is growing. When IT says it won't support iPad's for workers, but the CEO, COO, or Division Presidents start using an iPad guess what IT suddenly decides to support! Tim does a good job on the question of What is Mobile, because there's a whole range of tablets (iPad, Xoom, Galaxy, Playbook, etc.), Netbooks, Smartphones, and even some who firmly believe that laptops are still a "mobile" device. Without standardization of platforms, that means Apps, formats, screen sizes, and more to put stuff into place. Here's the thing -- it is growing faster than internal IT departments can keep up with. And who wants to tell the Chief Marketing Officer "We're sorry, but we won't support that device"?
