John Ambrose is SkillSoft’s senior vice president, strategy, corporate development and emerging business. In addition to identifying new strategic opportunities for the company, he oversees the operations of SkillSoft’s Books24x7 and the Leadership Development Channel. Previously, he had served as vice president and general manager of Books24x7, a subsidiary of SkillSoft and the developer of online Referenceware® which he co-founded. Books24x7 was acquired by SkillSoft in December 2001. Ambrose has more than 23 years experience in executive, international business development, web marketing and software marketing roles.
Julie Ogilvie
Vice President,
Corporate Marketing
Julie is the vice president of corporate marketing for SkillSoft and as such is responsible for outbound communications and marketing programs. She came to SkillSoft in 2003, and in the past has been involved in marketing products ranging from plastic bottle caps to the enormously successful Zip drive. She’s thrilled to have landed in the field of learning, where people are passionate about what they do and the products make a difference in people’s lives. In her off hours she enjoys curling up with a good detective story, watching birds and bike riding.
Pam Boiros
Vice President,
Product Management
Pam joined Books24x7 in 2000, and is currently responsible for the product and content strategy for the Books24x7 product line. Pam has worked to develop new collections, including international language products, as well as new site features designed to enhance the user experience of the Books24x7’s On Demand Platform. She is passionate about emerging technologies such as mobile devices and social networking, and the impact such innovations can have on the learning experience. Prior to joining Books24x7, Pam’s career experience was in the book publishing industry and she is an avid reader and literacy advocate. Pam has an MBA from Babson College, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Stephanie Pyle

Product Marketing
Stephanie Pyle is Director of Product Marketing for SkillSoft. In her role, Stephanie is responsible for strategy and direction of SkillSoft platforms including the SkillPort LMS which is used by over 2000 companies worldwide. She has extensive experience in information technology, working with companies in multiple industries. Prior to joining SkillSoft, Stephanie provided independent consulting services centered on managing and delivering market-driven solutions and held various positions with companies including i2 Technologies and Lockheed Martin. Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a master’s degree from Villanova and remains a dedicated Steeler football fan despite living in New England.
Tim Hildreth
Director,
Product Marketing/Content Solutions
Tim Hildreth is the Director of Product Marketing/Content Solutions for SkillSoft. Currently he oversees all aspects of content solutions and strategies, including authoring tools, releases, and customization strategies for SkillSoft content and the KnowledgeCenters as well as SkillSoft’s new SkillSoft Leadership Advantage product line. Tim considers himself a life-long learner and teacher and has travelled extensively and lived in France for three years. He came to SkillSoft after 11 years in Product Marketing and other positions with Transparent Language, Inc., a leading provider of computer aided language-learning (CALL) solutions to consumer, corporate, educational, and government customers. He has a degree in Political Science from Williams College.
Darlene Frederick
Vice president of Strategic Services
Darlene Frederick is SkillSoft's vice president of strategic services, the group that provides resources and expertise to supplement customer learning teams on blended learning projects, elearning program management and administration. Since joining SkillSoft in 2000, she served as a practitioner, manager and director of the core consulting group before taking the helm of the professional services team. Darlene's passion is promoting a new definition of "blended learning" that goes beyond course and classroom models to foster experiential learning supported by technology. Her personal passions are travel, culture and language.
Shawn Hunter
Executive Producer for the Leadership Development Channel
Shawn Hunter is Executive Producer for the Leadership Development Channel, a live and on-demand video learning portfolio. For over a decade Hunter has interviewed, collaborated with, and filmed, hundreds of leading business best-selling authors, CEOs, and Fortune 1000 practitioners in an effort to assemble this product. LDC is a product Hunter originally created while President and co-founder of Targeted Learning Corporation, acquired by SkillSoft in February, 2007. Shawn has experience in all areas of entrepreneurial development - business and innovative product planning, delivery and systems infrastructure development, leading people to a shared vision, and execution. Prior to founding TLC in 1994 with Hal Hunter, Ph.D., Shawn taught in Korea, was a ranch-hand in Montana, ski instructor in Colorado, and cycled across the U.S.
Glenn Nott
Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific
Glenn Nott is SkillSoft's Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific, and is responsible in overseeing the entire SkillSoft operation in the region, including business development, sales, marketing and the successful implementation of SkillSoft's products and services. Glenn also focuses on building collaborative client partnership programs and works closely with international counterparts in North America and Europe. With more than 20 years of expertise in corporate training, Glenn has held many positions which involved training and development and e-learning. They include State Bank of Victoria, Coles Myer, Applied Learning, Acumen, CBT Systems and Smartforce.
Kevin Young
Managing Director, EMEA
Kevin Young has 20 years experience in the IT industry, 14 of which have been in the technology-based training sector. Before joining SkillSoft, Young headed up CBT Systems UK operations, managing a team of more than 40.
Between 1990 and 1998 Young held a series of sales/senior management positions with NETg International. He established the UK Strategic Account Group in 1995 and was directly involved in signing the largest-ever UK technology-based training agreement, valued at $10 million over five years.
From 1997 to 1998 Young was based in Australia, tasked with setting up NETg's AsiaPacific/Japanese operations. With a small team he grew the revenue base significantly, through the effective application of a direct and channel-based sales operation.
Kevin has a BSc(Hons) in plant biology and geography from Newcastle University and was an associate member of the Institute of Personnel Management.
